After living in Thailand a few months, i have noticed some things very charecteristic for Thailand, for example that
• you are allowed to do u-turns on the highway
• the traffic lights are more like decorations; you are not supposed to stop when the light turns red
• you will meet people driving in the wrong lane, in the opposite direction, even on the highway
• you must go to the chef in the kitchen and explain very clearly what you want to eat, because the waitress doesnt understand your order
• the police have traffic controls only when they run out of money
• you can by ice cream with sweet corn
• you wear a yellow sweater on mondays beceause the king told you to do so
• you see signs saying "please turn off the engine when you have parked your car" (global warming isn´t a big issue in Thailand)
• you will have the main courses spiced up with sugar instead of salt…
…and i love it!
